R got his first Nijango Lego set today. This is Jay’s Storm Fighter, I had to look it up as well: Lego Page: Jays Storm Fighter or an Amazon link: LEGO Ninjago Jay’s Storm Fighter. I was a Lego fan as a kid and these sets are really cool. I don’t remember the level of customized pieces though but that was also 30 years ago!

I added a bit of contrast in post and added a Daily Vitamin filter in Perfect Photo Suite 6
One of the benefits of having flowers around the house is being able to photograph them even when they are dying. These little rose buds are from my wife’s Valentines bouquet.

Not bad, but not a lot of definition and slight yellow cast so here are my initial edits in Aperture:
I then exported to Perfect Photo Suite 6 (If you haven’t purchased Perfect Photo Suite 6 yet, use the code DDSPHOTO for 10% off!) and applied two filters. Each month during my Photo a day project I use Animoto.com(Yes, that’s an affiliate link I’m a huge fan of this simple video creation service.) to create a video slideshow. For some reason it helps to keep me going. Here’s the clip, a whole month in two minutes!
So I found this bottle in the downstairs bathroom and kind of liked the color of the glass and the metal sea shells..

So I clicked Auto Enhance in Aperture which led to this:
I then opened the image up in Perfect Photo Suite 6 and applied the Cracked Earth Texture at about 70% strength for the final image. Think the texture works here?
There are rumors that a storm is on the way to the desert. I’ll believe the rain reports when I see it but will enjoy the clouds while they’re here.
Clouds in front of the Sun!

Here’s the original version emailed from my phone:
I let Aperture(Mac App Link) automatically adjust the levels, which helped out some and then a I applied a filter in Perfect Photo Suite 6 to add a bit of contrast and highlight the clouds.
