One of the benefits of having flowers around the house is being able to photograph them even when they are dying. These little rose buds are from my wife’s Valentines bouquet.

Not bad, but not a lot of definition and slight yellow cast so here are my initial edits in Aperture:
I then exported to Perfect Photo Suite 6 (If you haven’t purchased Perfect Photo Suite 6 yet, use the code DDSPHOTO for 10% off!) and applied two filters. I chose the Lord of the Rings Filter and then saved that and then reopened it up and applied the Texture Booster filter at about 70% and clicked save.
