Thinking About Sleep

I have never thought of sleep being a vital nutrient, but my friend Michelle Ross wrote about sleep recently- Is Sleep Really Important?

She lists 14 things to improve your sleep. I can remember a time when you got tired you went to sleep. In the middle stages of life sleep is hard to come by. Work, family and fun all seem to get in the way. In Michelle’s post she starts it with this quote:

“Sleep is the most important predictor of how long you will live, perhaps more important than whether you smoke, exercise, or have high blood pressure or cholesterol levels.”

I’m thinking that more attention to sleep is needed. I know my sleep patterns have changed over the years, it’s now something that I occasionally plan for. What things have you tried to improve your sleep? If you’re looking for something to try check out Michelle’s 14 sleep tips!
