Extending Your Practice Community Online

A few posts ago: 6 Reasons to Build a Dental Website I listed a few reasons to start a web site for a dental office.

One reason I listed was-

A website is a great way to communicate who you are to your current patient base and the potential new patients they may invite to your practice. Your website might be the first impression of who you are and the fact that you have a website might be enough for a new patient to consider your services.

In addition to communicating who you are and what you do; how is your website engaging your visitors to join your community?
Is it an extension of your practice?
Is it providing useful information that it helpful?
Is it relevant? Is it updated?
Do you even care about an online community?
