Bag of Tulips and More About What We See

Bunch of Tullips

I love it when my wife brings home flowers! Which is probably a reminder that I need to remember to bring them home more often, but that’s a lesson for another day… I liked the way this came out.

Recently I wrote about Photographing Joshua Trees and the challenge of capturing what I see, check it out. Shortly after that post went live I walked into an exam at my real job and was immediately told by my patient to not tell him what I saw?

I have never heard that before and didn’t really know what to say or do? Do I still look? Not knowing what to do I started asking questions. So I asked, what do you want me to do if I find anything? In a nutshell the patient wasn’t prepared today to hear any bad news.

Nobody likes to hear bad news and sometimes there is no way to sugar coat the news.

Do we see disease or health?

Do we see what is? Or what could be?

What we see impacts these discussions.

Just like the Joshua Trees, the Tulips above or my patient… There’s always more to see.
